Graduate profile
Graduates of the PhD study of Integral Safety, with
instruction in Czech or English, will acquire theoretical and practical
knowledge in the field of risk analysis and management using modern methods
and information technologies. Emphasis is placed on current knowledge in the
areas of planning, control and design of effective measures with regard to
the outputs of world research, the European-wide design system according to
European standards, design with emphasis on sustainable development. The
basis is knowledge of the behavior of whole systems and substructures in
emergency situations during fire, explosion, flood and earthquake. An
integral part is cooperation with European universities in the form of study
visits and work on joint bilateral and European projects. Students will
acquire the theoretical basis in six subjects according to their individual
study plan and specialization in the chosen area of doctoral thesis. The
integral part is teaching in the bachelor and master courses.
Graduates
will be employed in the private and public sector as specialists in the
planning and evaluation of large-scale conceptual solutions. PhD students
are desirable specialists in designing, designing, maintaining, modernizing
and demolishing demanding engineering works, in research and teaching at our
and foreign universities.
Students choose six subjects from doctoral subjects at CTU in Prague and from the course:

Modeling for natural disaster management
3. Fire safety
4. Explosion
and impact safety
5. Risk and safety management of technical works
6. Operation of complex technical works and management of their accidents
and failures with regard to public interest
